Business

Small and medium enterprises are the backbone of the New Zealand economy (and we are one of them!).

We can help you with all aspects of your compliance work letting you focus on your business - after all, that's our bread and butter. However, we can help you with so much more than that - advice, support, coaching, business plans, finance applications ....

We are your Business GP.

What We DoWhat We Do

Agriculture

Sheep and Beef farming is dominant in the Ruapehu District and we understand the difference between a ewe hogget and a steer! Dairying is, of course, the dominant player in the NZ agricultural scene and we are also happy to talk kg/MS. We've had great feedback on our annual accounts from clients and banks - they include a great one page summary trend analysis.

Common software tools in this sector are Rural Cash Manager and BankLink. To use Xero we recommend that you also use "Figured" (Xero doesn't use quantities).

Not-For-Profits

The Not-For-Profit sector includes both Charitable and Non-Charitable organisations.

Charities are now required to report in accordance with a new “Public Benefit Entity” financial reporting framework that depends on the level of operating expenditure. The changes now mean that, for many organisations, different reporting is required for external and internal purposes. We have tools that enable us to provide the two different reports from the same information.

Schools

We use Xero to assist schools manage their finances, pay their bills, and do their financial reporting. With team members who have been on Boards of Trustees we understand the challenges schools have and the terminology that is peculiar to education.

We will prepare your financial statements using the Kiwi Park school template and liaise with the auditor on your behalf.

Our service can be customised to suit what your school needs – everything from supporting your internal personnel combined with preparation of financial statements and liaison with the auditor to “full-service”.

Māori Authorities

While "Peak Chartered Accountants" is a new firm, we have roots in the region over 50 years. We have worked with Māori Authorities over an extended period of time, whether they be simple rentals or multi-farm unit enterprises – or iwi settlement trusts. We understand the legal framework, ownership structures, governance issues and the tax regimes that apply.

We provide services that support your administration, share register needs, Secretarial, Governance, Finance and Taxation needs.

We can also assist you with:
